This piece was created using Acrylic Paints, various types of fabrics and tissue paper. This was created over many layers building up paint layers and fabric layers. This has helped create depth and texture. The amount of layers vary depending on the subject matter. Some leaves are 4 layers plus, some layers are 2 or 3. The paint used is not premixed from a tube I have used pigment with Acrylic medium. I could not achieve the depth of colour any other way. Bearing in mind that lots of Acrylic paints and fabrics such as lace, voille, netting etc are transparent varying shades in various colours where layered in order to achieve the final colour. It is important to me that I am not just classed as a "Flower Painter". My work is not just about creating an image, but to inject real life into it. If the leaves are jagged, the blooms colourful, Stems straight and the image is beautiful the first thing you are inclined to do is touch it and want to pick it, my work is designed to encourage you the viewer to want to do that. It is extremely tactile as well as being colourful, vibrant and alive. I have decided to dedicate a gallery to this piece to allow you the viewer to look at isolated parts of this Artwork in detail. The next 5 images are isolated areas of this piece to try to help convey the true feel of this piece of work. This was worked on a prestretched canvas. Alot of this piece is lost in translation from original Artwork to Camera to PC. It is 3 feet wide by 4 feet high.
